It is always an inspirational event to hear young people give their take on our Four Way Test. We heard Sri Karri and Jenny Zheng from Mason High School, and John McMullen of Kings High School present their speeches on our theme, and all three did a terrific job. John will be presenting his speech at the district level later in the month. Also pictured, at left, is President Jerry.
The Four Way Test:
- Is it the Truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build good will and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
We hosted three students this week who created speeches about Rotary’s Four Way Test, and presented these speeches to our club. Sri Karri of Mason High School spoke about how awkward moments are a common experience for all of us, and how they bind us together. Jenny Zheng of Mason High School talked about how we all have dreams, and how these dreams meet the four way test. John McMullen of Kings High School talked about emotions and challenges in life, in particular about a friend he cared about, and how the four way test figures into even the most difficult of situations.
The contest was organized by Betty. John McMullen of Kings High School will represent our club at the March 30 District competition at Wright State. Sri. Karri is the runner up. Congratulations to all three competitors, who inspired us with their creativity and effort.
