Once again our club headed out to Matthew 25 Ministries in Blue Ash for a few hours of service. This is a favorite location for our group and we have been assigned
many tasks over the years from sorting clothes. repackaging lotion and recycling old paint by opening containers to pour in to like colored buckets. These ‘rainbow’ paints are used to paint houses built in other countries in areas of need.
This time we were sorting donated shoes. We faced huge boxes of shoes and the challenge was to find it’s match! While a daunting task we soon got in to a rhythm of finding those pairs which we then tied together with the laces or rubber banded. There were some that we did not find a match but there was an afternoon shift coming in so hopefully they found them.
We completed nearly three boxes of shoes. The main thing we learned is that if we ever donate shoes to tie them together!
