Rotarians, friends, and family came together Saturday morning to volunteer at the HEAL Family Festival, an annual event designed to offer families who have lost a child a ray of hope.
At the Festival, family members could play carnival games and win Rotary-sponsored prizes, create their own artistic canvas to take home, have their faces painted, take part in the 5K walk, or enjoy some cotton candy and popcorn.

For any family, the loss of a child is devastating. Finding support and understanding in the local community after such an event can be difficult.
This is where Atrium Medical Center’s HEAL (Help Endure a Loss) Program steps in. The program offers families comfort and support in the form of programming, counseling, and education. The program has cared for more than 1,500 families since it was launched in 1998.
